"If you don't have the time to do it right, when will you have the time to do it over?" - John Wooden

Bio

By chance I’m the son of a couple of “New York City kids” who, once they had the opportunity, hit the suburbs and started a life of building and renovating homes for most of the 70 years they were together.  In one form or another, I have been in the homebuilding business my entire life.

Professionally, I have been working in the construction industry for over 30 years. I began as a laborer, learned framing, worked commercial construction, went back to residential work, and somewhere during that time, earned my college degree.  At 28, I started my own business doing historic restorations.  That work expanded to include general remodeling and whole-house renovations, and eventually new custom homes.  As the projects grew, so did my reputation for honesty and well-executed projects.  Most of my work is located in Lower Fairfield County and is architect designed.

I took the opportunity of the Great Recession years to explore other areas of the industry.  My time working for a building materials supplier and then managing projects for area spec builders, added worthwhile experience and further honed my perspective on what works and what doesn’t.

Now I have returned to my own work.  Returned to as I was taught.

  • If a job is worth doing, it is worth doing right.

  • Do the complete job.

  • Be honest in what I do.

Feels right.
